Ken started at Auburn Spinal Therapy Centre in 1990 with Michael Macqueen then formed a partnership with David Groom in 1991. David and Ken established and expanded Auburn Spinal over the years and completed a significant renovation of the building in 2000.

When Ken moved to Brisbane at the end of 2021, Mitch Geilings took over the management of Ken’s client base, continuing Ken’s legacy of advanced manual therapy skills, targeted therapeutic exercise and individualised patient management.

Ken is now a principal of Brisbane Physio Specialists, located in the inner northern Brisbane suburb of Wilston https://brisbanephysiospecialists.com.au/ He continues to (virtually) teach undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students at La Trobe University https://scholars.latrobe.edu.au/krniere and is also a casual academic at The University of Queensland https://shrs.uq.edu.au/profile/8311/kenneth-niere .
