Accurate clinical diagnosis is essential for targeted and specific intervention. We will refer you for investigations or medical consultation if we think these are necessary to better understand your condition and hasten recovery.
Depending on your condition and contributing factors treatment may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, technique correction, posture and ergonomic modification or lifestyle advice.
Prevention of recurrence is achieved by understanding your problem as well as any contributing factors that may have led to its development and maintenance. Clinical Pilates and Exercise Rehab are often key elements of a prevention program.

Clinical Pilates
Pilates is a physical fitness system that comprises a system of low-impact exercises focusing on flexibility, control, strength and endurance.
Pilates emphasises proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. When conducted by an experienced physiotherapist this type of exercise can facilitate return to pain-free movement after injury.
Exercise Rehabilitation
If recovering from injury or surgery your rehabilitation will usually require a structured exercise program.
At Auburn Spinal we work with you to provide the most appropriate program to ensure recovery and return to function as quickly and safely as possible. If you have osteoporosis or osteopenia our “Strong Bones, Better Balance” program will provide you with a graded exercise program to improve balance, strength and bone density. Exercise rehabilitation sessions are provided in private rooms or in our spacious, light-filled exercise studio.
